And then we had another holiday in Brazil. November 15th is our Republic Day anniversary which started back in 1889, just one year after slavery ended in our country. Some say the fight for freedom helped our Republic movement, but almost everything in Brazil is part of a bigger effort in order to the minority of the people, the ones who control the economic power, stay tuned and updated with the world's movements and tendencies. 
But let's go back to the tourism and check out what the Mountains have to offer in Lumiar, a district of Nova Friburgo, one of the three most important cities in the higher parts of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Check it out!
